There are New Forest cycling routes for everyone to enjoy whether you are an experienced cyclist or whether you are looking to entertain the whole family with an outdoor activity. Below are some of the best New Forest cycle routes.

Burley Circular

One of our favourite New Forest cycling routes is the Burley Circular. It is a 6 mile ride that begins at Lucy Hill Park. This ride provides the perfect opportunity to enjoy a relaxing ride whilst enjoying the stunning countryside scenery. Whilst embarking on this circular New Forest cycle route, it is likely that you will see Fallow deer, New Forest ponies, a variety of birds and different types of trees.

Hawkhill Trail

The Hawkhill Trail is the perfect cycling route for history lovers and those that want to escape traffic. The trail is 10 miles long. Whilst riding this route you will be taken past some of the most interesting features of the Beaulieu Airfield. This airfield has a lot of history with WW2 and this is visible when you cycle along this route. As well as this you will discover the changing landscapes of the New Forest with stunning views to take in along the way.

Rhinefield Ornamental Ride

The Rhinefield Ornamental Ride ride is a 15 mile cycle route that begins in Brockenhurst. Whilst enjoying this ride you will be taken through an area of the National Park where you can enjoy the natural beauty and unique landscapes that the New Forest offers. The route is mostly over ogg-road gravel tracks.

Lepe & Exbury Loop

If you are looking for coastal cycle routes in New Forest then the Lepe & Exbury Loop could be the perfect route for you. This loop is 10 miles long. Whilst riding along this route you can discover the charming coastline of the New Forest as well as taking in stunning sea views. The route takes you inland as well as along the coast. The route has different challenges in different seasons. During summer it can be overgrown, whilst during the winter it can be muddy.
