Ringwood Fishing Lakes

Being in the heart of Avon Valley near the River Avon, Ringwood is an ideal place for River Avon fishing and has several lakes and rivers to visit for a fishing excursion.

Lin Brook
Set on the outskirts of the New Forest, Lin Brook is a great choice for top quality carp fishing. There are a total of 11 swims at this mature six-acre lake with approximately 460+ Carp as well as some rare albino grass carp.

Moors Valley Country Park and Forest
Just a few minutes’ drive away from Ringwood is Moors Valley Country Park & Forest which is home to a coarse fishing on a nine-acre lake. Here you’ll find roach, rudd, tench, perch and dace so be sure to purchase a permit from the visitor centre on your drive in and secure a bay for a peaceful day of fishing.

Turf Croft Farm Fishery
Looking to land that big catch? East of Ringwood, you’ll find the beautifully secluded Turf Croft Farm Fishery which is an eight-acre horseshoe-shaped lake that’s naturally fed and surrounded by mature trees and fabulous features such as islands, lily pads and margins. At Turf Croft expect to find plenty of carp, tench, bream and rudd. What are you waiting for? Purchase your day tickets as soon as possible and get out on the lake.

Sea Fishing Near Ringwood

If sea fishing is more of your thing then not to worry, as there’s ample opportunity for this near Ringwood in the New Forest. Fishing trips via boat charters from Keyhaven with Reel Easy Charter 35-minutes away from Ringwood and Greg Pitt Sea Fishing which is just under 40-minutes away are both great experiences with professionals that take you out on the water.

Around a similar drive time is Lazy Daze Fishing Charters which will also help plan a half-day or full day’s fishing out onto the Solent with a unique and tailored trip depending on your wishes and what you’re hoping to catch. Also, around 40 minutes away from Ringwood, you can charter a boat from Lymington with either Hermit Charters or Lady Anne Charters of Lymington.

If it’s more of a relaxed and simple sea fishing experience you’re hoping for, opt for Lymington’s sea wall for there are some great spots a little further out in Milford-on-sea, Lepe beach and Hurst Spit.v

Ringwood River Fishing

If you’re looking to get stuck into some River Avon fishing along the Hampshire Avon, Ringwood river fishing is certainly for you. There are plenty of places to pitch up and get stuck in. 

Bickerley Millstream: This picturesque stretch of the River Avon is known for its clear waters, deep pools, and abundance of barbel, chub, roach, and dace. The Millstream’s tranquil surroundings and varied fishing opportunities make it a popular choice among anglers for River Avon fishing all year round. 

Fordingbridge Park: Situated downstream of Bickerley Millstream, Fordingbridge Park offers a more open and faster-flowing section of the Avon. Lower Severals: This section of the Avon is known for its deep holes, fast-flowing runs, and diverse fish population. Anglers can expect to find barbel, bream, chub, pike, grayling, roach, and dace in these varied waters.

North End Farm Ibsley: This stretch of the Avon is characterised by its slow-flowing glides, shallow pools, and overhanging trees. These tranquil conditions provide excellent opportunities for targeting trout, grayling, and chub, particularly during the cooler months.

Royalty North: Located upstream of Ringwood, Royalty North is known for its deep pools, fast-flowing runs, and islands. This diverse stretch offers a mix of barbel, bream, chub, pike, grayling, roach, and dace, making it a popular destination for Avon angling seeking a variety of fish.

Ringwood Angling Club: The Ringwood & District Anglers Association (RDAA) is a thriving angling club with a rich history dating back over 50 years with approximately 2000 members!

The Ringwood Angling Club also boasts an impressive portfolio of fishing venues, including over 15 still-water lakes and over 30 miles of riverbank along the River Avon and its tributaries, perfect for Hampshire Avon fishing.
