The baptism itself serves as the main ceremony but we all know that the after party is the perfect way to wrap up a wonderful day full of laughter, jubilations and plenty of delicious food. Our grand Bartley Lodge is a real eye catcher and does nothing but impress all those who visit the Grade II listed building. For larger parties, the spacious Baronial Hall will be calling your name, or if you’re hosting a more intimate gathering, opt for the effortlessly elegant Orangery or the lovely Georgian room, but no matter where you choose to celebrate, all of which have stunning views overlooking the gardens and also have direct access to a large stone terrace – perfect for utilising its picturesque backdrop. Holding up to 80 guests, a Christening in this venue is sure to be the talk of the town.
Our idyllic Burley Manor is set within an 800-year-old estate and holding up to 80 guests, this versatile Christening venue can cater to smaller or larger parties, it’s the best of both worlds! Burley Manor’s two rustic barns possess exposed wooden beams and a bright and airy interior, lending themselves a dreamy setting – now just imagine the finished look after you’ve touched it up with your decorations, it just gets better and better. If your guest list is a little shorter, you can choose between the historic Drawing room, the Conservatory with stunning views of the neighbouring deer park to keep the kids (and perhaps adults too) entertained, or even the lovely restaurant.
If you’ve ever wondered what the epitome of effortlessly elegant looks like, the answer is Forest Lodge in the New forest! The Georgian townhouse provides guests with a sense of privacy with its cosy spaces and less formal atmosphere. For smaller gatherings, you may want to consider hosting your party in the relaxed 1820 restaurant and treating your guests to award-winning plates, or take it down a floor into the brick-walled cellar for a cocktail reception (fruit juice for the little ones!). If your invite list is a little on the lengthier side, opt for the Forest Suite with access to the beautiful courtyard garden. With the venue’s historical charm and locally-inspired dishes, up to 70 of your guests can enjoy all that Forest Lodge has to offer (there’s a lot by the way).
For those who are planning a larger Christening reception, our magical Beaulieu Inn holds up to 120 guests and will provide you and your guests with a wonderful experience through and through. This flexible venue has the ability to be configured into two separate spaces, allowing smaller parties to take advantage of the space, because no one should miss out on what this Inn has to offer. Along with inspiring dishes and refreshing beverages for all the family, this fairytale setting just wouldn’t be complete without majestic ponies and donkeys roaming the grounds – yes you hear that right! With panoramic views of the surrounding greenery, elegant interiors and quaint gardens (with said grazing animals) it’s safe to say that every guest, including the young and the young at heart, will be blown away by the wonders of Beaulieu Inn.
All of our New Forest venues are conveniently located within a 30 minute drive of each other, with Beaulieu Inn located in Brockenhurst, Barley Lodge in Cadnam and Forest Lodge in Lyndhurst along with Burley Manor in Burley.
