It goes without saying that when you’re planning a day out, whether you’re taking a long walk or doing some sightseeing, you’re going to want to stop off somewhere for some delicious food and an energy refill. Luckily for you, here at New Forest Collection we have amazing restaurants and bars dotted around the Lymington area, making them easily accessible no matter where you are.
Great tasting food in Lymington
Choosing where to dine with us may be a tricky choice, but we promise no matter where you eat, you’ll be served a plate full of delicious flavours and your dining experience will be memorable. If you’re staying with us (which of course you are), the closest restaurants to Lymington are The Drift and Taylor’s Bar located at Beaulieu Inn, Bartley Lodge country house kitchen and the 1820 restaurant at Forest Lodge.
The Drift
Showcasing the best traditional British dishes and locally-sourced menu options, The Drift is the place to be. We have menus catering to different times of the day and different dishes – mains, children’s, Sunday Kitchen, breakfast and drinks, or if you just want to nibble on a small snack, we’ve got that too. Perfect for a relaxed and casual dining experience, fueling you for the rest of your day or a deep sleep.
You can experience where laid-back dining meets classic contemporary when you visit our Bartley Lodge restaurant. Enjoy your food inside the orangery, restaurant, lounge or if the weather is on your side, the lovely outdoor terrace. From amazing well-aged meats to free-range eggs, we like to show off how locally-sourced and fresh our ingredients are. Come and enjoy a Sunday lunch or even an afternoon tea with friends where you can tuck into sweet scones with strawberry jam with Dorset clotted cream whilst sipping on one of our many Char teas.
Come on over to Forest Lodge to visit our 1820 restaurant, home to an award winning grill and modern day brasserie. You can also indulge in casual all-day dining, or a delightful afternoon tea to either be enjoyed inside or outdoors on the terrace in the sunshine.
We would be lying if we didn’t say this is the best place to get together with friends for an afternoon tea, some fruity cocktails or a small bite to eat. From breakfast to bedtime, Taylor’s Bar will fill your tummy, quench your thirst and be a place of hospitality and warm welcoming for you.
We locally-source our ingredients as much as possible, providing you with mouth watering flavours and amazing quality. Now let’s talk drinks – we have everything from beers to cask ales to spirits and they’re all from the best local brewers and distillers! At all of our restaurants, you’ll find a warm welcoming and relaxed environment whilst surrounded by the beautiful great outdoors.
All four of our restaurants are located close to Lymington. The Drift and Taylor’s Bar are located at Beaulieu Inn, just a 20 minute drive away from the centre of Lymington; 1820 restaurant is just over a 20 minute drive away and Bartley Lodge is a little further at 28 minutes away – but we guarantee it is worth the travel!
If you’re travelling by train to eat (and stay) with us, your nearest train stations are Lymington Train Station and Lymington Pier Train Station. If you’re going that extra mile and you’re flying in to visit us, you have three airports nearby – Solent Airport, Bournemouth Airport and Southampton Airport.
