The perfect places to stay for a May Half Term getaway

The historic Bartley Lodge is an elegant Grade-II eighteenth century country house and is surrounded by eight acres of stunning nature, giving the kids plenty of room to burn off some energy from the journey over and run free through the wilderness.

Take a dip or make a splash in the large indoor pool at our elegant Forest Lodge and end the day dining in a foodie’s heaven in the award-winning 1820 restaurant. The fun doesn’t stop there because you can look forward to retiring to one of our many cosy rooms, relaxing in a steamy bath and unwinding in fluffy bathrobes, does it get much better than that? The answer is yes, keep on reading to find out!

We think the kids will like this one… Our Beaulieu Inn is a magical haven that will help create memories that will last forever. This delightful hotel is something straight out of a fairytale, what with the freely roaming ponies and donkeys that graze on our heathland and the cosy nooks with crackling fireplaces just waiting to be discovered. Ps. Adults are going to love it just as much as the children! With just a short stroll away from the hotel you’ll find The Drift, a delightful place to grab a relaxed drink and bite to eat to wrap up a fantastic day and look forward to the next one.

Keeping on the topic of animals, if the little ones are animal lovers then they’ll also love our inspiring baronial-style Burley Manor. Set within an eight-hundred-year-old estate, the manor is surrounded by bliss countryside, perfect for relaxing evening strolls after a day of fun-filled entertainment, and the best part? The hotel neighbours a red deer sanctuary, so you can look forward to dreamy views of brilliant nature all day long. And not to forget the Burley Huts, the ultimate rural experience as you’re surrounded by nothing but wonderful wilderness and twinkling starlight.

Our sweet and simple, but nevertheless enchanting, Moorhill House is a lovely bed and breakfast retreat. With cosy drawing rooms, a welcoming bar and a traditional dining room, this Victorian country house holds comfort close to its heart. With just a short walk from the quiet village of Burley, there are plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants to choose from to fill one’s diary.
