New Forest & Hampshire County Show
With the prestigious New Forest & Hampshire County Show beginning in just over a week’s time, we thought it was only right to spotlight the heritage show in July’s Shop Small Saturday feature. Founded in 1920, it is the shows 102nd year of demonstrating and boy is it going to be a good one.
The three-day agricultural show held at the end of July in Brockenhurst, New Forest, celebrates the very best of all things New Forest. With over 5000 animals, not including the 25,000 bees, and 85,000 people expected to visit, it is set to be a brilliant celebration.
This year we have been lucky enough to partner with the show in supporting their Local Produce Area alongside the New Forest Marque and Hampshire Fayre as well as the Demonstration Kitchen within the Countryside Area. For those visiting, it is a fantastic opportunity to discover the true quality of authentic New Forest taste and virtue. A number of New Forest Marque accredited suppliers will be showcasing their variety of locally produced products, along with an incredible range of demonstrations throughout the week. Including show jumping, visitor and livestock competitions, old farming, musical entertainment, animal performances and cookery displays. Not forgetting the variety of family friendly activities to get involved in.
With the show rated among the top ten agricultural shows in the country and Her Majesty The Queen visiting in 2012, you can expect quite the welcoming. Perfect for people of all ages, there is something for everyone.
