Social Media Assistant – Central Support Office

Set in the heart of the New Forest National Park, New Forest Hotels, includes four hotels – Bartley Lodge, Beaulieu Hotel, Forest Lodge and Moorhill House – Burley Manor, a restaurant and rooms and a country pub restaurant, the Drift Inn.

Based in our Central Support Office in Lyndhurst, this is an exciting opportunity to join the marketing team.

You will:

  • Create content plans for all social media channels, ensuring that all social media channels are populated with fresh, interesting and innovative content. This includes Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
  • Create dynamic written, graphic and video content – scheduling and publishing content
  • Oversee the seasonal social content calendar and ensure that activity is aligned to business and campaign objectives
  • Lead on engagement with social community– responses to comments and messages – always keeping in mind brand tone and timely responses by working closely with wider team
  • Assist in the execution of live content across channels, including event coverage (both in and out of office hours)
  • Assist in creating and executing paid social media campaigns
  • Track and monitor all PR coverage to be shared on social channels and with wider team monthly
  • Continually seek out and monitor new trends and opportunities in social media landscape
  • Compile weekly, monthly and seasonal social reports for both organic and paid social, when necessary, using analytics
  • Measure performance against agreed-upon KPIs – including engagement rate, follower growth, campaign performance and revenue
  • Work with Head of Marketing to develop and implement the social strategy
  • Work with the wider marketing team to coordinate shoots, styling and story direction for social content
  • Identify suitable influencers for possible partnerships and brand collaborations
  • Assist with copy writing for marketing and communication material such as website content, online listings, in-house magazine and digital/ print ads
  • Write various types of blogs to assist with website optimisation, lead generation and social engagement – maintaining tone of voice

You will bring:

  • A solid understanding of how social media (both paid and organic) is used as an effective marketing tool to meet marketing objectives
  • A genuine passion for social media, content creation and story telling
  • At least 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Marketing, business or social media-related degree
  • An in-depth understanding and a passion for social media trends
  • Exceptional written English and copywriting skills – able to adapt writing style for audience
  • Editing and photography skills (not essential)
  • Strong analytical skills

Working hours:

08:30 – 17:30 Monday to Friday
(occasional evening and weekend work may be required when attending events)
