We are looking for a Pastry Chef de Partie for the Burley Manor Hotel in Burley to oversee the production of all pastry and bakery goods for the hotel’s food and beverage operation, ensuring that the required mise-en-place and finished products are produced and delivered to the appropriate areas.

To work closely with other management personnel in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests.
To make sure that the pastry employee works in a supportive and flexible manner with other departments.
To establish and implement performance standards for the Pastry Kitchen, to establish and maintain a streamlined and efficient operation.
To check incoming ingredients, ensure that all merchandise is in accordance with order sheets and receiving records.
To supervise pastry employees to make sure that operating equipment is cared for and properly used to maximise its useful life, and to minimise breakage and personal injury.
To ensure orderly handling of all raw products and check that quantities prepared are according to Recipes and plate specifications.
To prepare and supervise daily mise-en-place
To be available and on duty during peak periods.
To be demanding and critical when it comes to operating standards.
To handle employee inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner and report complaints or problems to the head Chef.
To have a full working knowledge and capability to supervise, correct and demonstrate.
To conduct regular briefing to assistants on preparation, service and menus.
Transport essential due to the location of the hotel.
Salary: £24,000.00 /year
