Beaulieu Motor Museum – This October half-term take a trip to Beaulieu Motor Museum to discover the fantasy and folklore of Halloween. From 21st to 29th October see the harvest festival-themed decorations in Palace House and take part in activities and traditional fun for all the family celebrating the magic of autumn.
Head to their Victorian Kitchen to watch the cook bake soul cakes, a traditional autumn recipe, get your face painted with spooktacular design, follow the All Hallow trail to discover fascinating seasonal facts and learn about the origins and folklore of Halloween! Fancy something a little more creative? They’ll also have plenty of arts and crafts activities to get involved in.
On Saturday 28th October, don’t miss out on their Fireworks Spectacular with this year’s theme being ‘Beaulieu does Broadway’ – It’s one of the biggest displays in the south!
Exbury Gardens – It’s almost time for Exbury Gardens to shut their gates for the winter season, but before they do they have some family fun to enjoy and beautiful autumn sights to witness! Exbury Garden invites you to meet Gilbert the Ghost – Take the last train home this October half term and reunite Gilbert with his forgotten family. Hear the tale, explore the gardens and meet the Ghosts of Exbury Past. They will also have a pumpkin trail and spell search before little ones get adventurous in the play area. Spooky trails and Witches Wood will lead older ones down the darkest paths to uncover the haunted phantom poems. Mr Eddy’s Tearooms will have a fang-tastic menu filled with tricks or treats for all the family.
For those not wanting to join the Halloween themed activities, their gardens will be open as usual, showcasing beautiful autumn scenes.
Paulton’s Park – Join Paulton’s Park this half-term for Halloween fun for all the family. Paultons will be transforming into a world of pumpkins, Little Monsters and spooky tunes! With a Little Monsters Ball, Freaky Fancy Dress competition and character meet and greets – Look out for the Headless Horseman, the witch’s cauldron, giant pumpkins and skeleton attractions. Don’t forget they also have 70 wonderful rides and attractions for all ages to enjoy!
The Drift Inn – Our sister pub, The Drift Inn in Beaulieu is hosting a Family Halloween Spooktacular on Saturday 28th October! They’ll be holding competitions for best fancy dress and bring your own carved pumpkin to win some devilishly delicious goodies. Kid’s will love getting stuck into our fun treasure trail leading to sweet prizes, followed by some tasty Halloween themed food, specially created by their chefs. Naturally it’s only fair that there’s some treat for the grown-ups too, so take a seat by the fire and sip on a hot mulled cider or two!
