Paultons Park  is full of fun family entertainment, whether it’s hitting a hole in their adventure golf, making a splash in the water kingdom or relaxing on the Rio Grande train ride around the park. The theme park reopens Sunday 12th February in time for half term fun. Launching on Sunday is their new 4D film Sammy & Ray as well as the Lost Kingdom; a Jurassic world where Dinosaurs greet you at every turn. This fantastic prehistoric landscape holds two world class rollercoasters, life-like animated Dinosaurs, a Jurassic themed family ride, a Dinosaur adventure play park and an amazing opportunity to come face to face with their ‘living’ walking animatronic Dinosaurs.


Marwell Zoo  is located just down the M27 and is the home to many animals from endangered Amur tigers to majestic giraffes. In addition to these wonderful animal encounters, Marwell offers: 5 adventure playgrounds, road and trail trains, 150 acres of parkland, a gift shop as well as cafés and picnic areas for lunch.


Longdown dairy farm  is the perfect attraction for all animal lovers. With plenty of farm animals to meet and feed including kid goats, calves and ducks. You can cuddle with a rabbit, hold a chick and maybe even a piglet! Alongside petting the animals there are lots of brilliant farmyard buildings to explore and loads of fabulous indoor and outdoor play areas including their trampoline barn, a soft play area and The Farmer’s Straw Den – So if the weather isn’t so great there is still plenty to keep the little ones occupied!

For lunch pop into their tea rooms or if the weather is on your side then there are allocated picnic areas. At the end of the day don’t forget to pop into the Longdown Farm Shop for a large range of deliciously locally sourced produce as well as poultry and pet sales, feed, equipment and bedding.


Beaulieu Motor Museum  has a range of ‘hands-on’ activities for the whole family to get stuck in with this half-term, including: handling historic motoring objects, trying on early motoring clothing and take a close up at artefacts, photos and documents, try the bubble balancer in the National Motor Museum – Can you place the weights evenly around the tyre to make it balance? Other activities include creating your very own balloon-powered car and see how far and fast you can race it, become a medieval builder and dress as a Victorian!


Bike hire from Burley  offers you to see and experience the best attraction: the New Forest landscape. If the sun is shining enjoy a healthy and active day with Forest Leisure CyclingVoted a Top 10 Family Day Out by the Independent newspaper. They have rides available for all ages and abilities and several stunning New Forest cycle routes.

Starting from their cycle centre in Burley you will be able to cycle along the famous Old Railway, visit the Deer Sanctuary, enjoy the Woodland Trail and relax at a New Forest Pub or indulge in a sumptuous cream tea!


Once you’re done adventuring, we’ll have your pillows plumped and ready for you to sink into for a much-needed night’s sleep and a hearty breakfast in the morning to kick-start another fun-filled family day!
