Held over three days at New Park, Brockenhurst, the New Forest Show show attracted approximately 95,000 visitors, and experienced the hottest weather of the year!
A great day out, the show bought together a celebration of traditional country pursuits, crafts, produce and entertainment, suiting all tastes and ages. There were a range of countryside traditions and demonstrations, show ring displays, show gardens, flowers and vegetables, local produce to tempt your taste buds, animals, and a 'Best of British' marquee.
New Forest Hotels and our sister pub, the Drift Inn, exhibited at the event, with competitions and delicious food samples, including chocolate brownies, shortbread, chocolate chip cookies and apricot flapjack. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting everyone and will be announcing the winners of our competitions soon!
Ben Cartwright, head chef at our Moorhill House Hotel, held cookery demonstrations at the event, cooking up some delicious scones and homemade strawberry ice cream. After many requests, we would like to share the recipes with you! Let us know how they went!
