Cheers!

Last night saw 60 guests attend our second wine tasting evening at our Moorhill House Hotel.
Darren Canning, Assistant Manager, introduced the evening in the cosy garden room before handing over to our Sommelier who narrated everyone through the evening beginning with the crisp and fresh aperitif.
Guests enjoyed a creative three-course menu designed by award-winning Head Chef, Ben Cartwright, while sampling wine that had been perfectly matched to the food by our wine experts. It was difficult to decide which course was the most delicious, while the pork belly with crackling served in a Burley cider sauce melted in your mouth, the strawberry panna cotta was smooth and creamy yet light and refreshing. Mind you by the time the dessert was served everyone had tasted four New World wines!!
Jenine Toms, the groups Brand and PR manager commented ‘We are so thrilled how well the event went and the large number of local residents that attended. It was lovely to be given the opportunity to
show case our village hideaway, the skills of the chefs and our hospitality.’
We have a number of further events planned for the coming months with the next event held at Moorhill House Hotel in Burley again on Thursday the 29th September, where guests can enjoy a South African themed wine tasting and a New Zealand themed tasting at our Glasshouse Restaurant at Best Western Forest Lodge Hotel in Lyndhurst on Thursday 10th November.
