The New Forest is a stunning area, but it is not untouched by man. The New Forest was created by King William I in 1079 and has been moulded by the trends of monarchs ever since, and the changing priorities of the Crown over the last 900 years: deer hunting, timber for naval shipbuilding, commercial timber production and recreation.
The Forest is still largely in the possession of the Crown and has relatively recently become a National Park.
These Moorhill Crown rooms are our executive bedrooms with all the amenities of an Agister room and some with four poster beds, but with the additional luxuries of an ipod docking station, fluffy dressing gowns, slippers, complimentary toiletries, extra comfortable beds, speciality teas and mineral water.
