Burley is just a short stroll from Moorhill House Hotel, especially if you take the shortcut past the cider farm to the village. In Burley itself you'll find plenty to entertain you. The village's long association with witchcraft, dragons and smugglers can be seen in its many shops and cafes, but that's not all it has to offer.
Spend an afternoon watching the cricket, take photos of the grazing animals and pretty thatched cottages, play a round of golf or visit the nearby Deer Sanctuary. In the summer months you can explore the village in true New Forest style by taking a horse and cart ride (wagonette) around Burley village. Sit back, relax and let the horses do the walking. And don't forget to check out local events such as the Bournemouth Airshow.
There is a market on the first Sunday of every month and antique fairs make a regular appearance in the village. Those interested in local produce should get themselves down to the cider tasting sessions at New Forest Cider, next door to our hotel. And of course there is the New Forest to explore either by foot, bike or horse.
There is so much more to do in and around Burley than we've managed to mention here. To find out visit the New Forest website or call our efficient reservation team on 0800 44 44 41.
